What elementary age student doesn't love Pete the Cat stories? I have heard of them numerous times but never read one until recently. Pete the Cat is a character in a series of children's books. In this particular story he is showing off his cool new red school shoes and all the places he travels in them throughout the school day. There is an interactive song that comes along with the book, or you can sing it to your child/students yourself!
How I would use this book in my classroom:
I would love to read this book on the first day of school to help my students get over any first day "jitters" that they might have.
