Where The Wild Things Are - Maurice Sendak

I grew up absolutely loving the book Where the Wild Things Are. It is a amazing book about a boy named Max who embarks on an adventure to a new world full of wild things! He soon finds himself crowned the ruler of all the wild things and loves to give his best roar to his adoring crowd. All is going well until his hungry stomach quickly encourages him to venture back to his moms kitchen. This story is a great lesson to children that they can be whatever they want to be, as long as they know they can always travel back home (or if not home then to their loving teacher).

How I would use this book in my classroom:

I would love to use this book in my classroom as a lesson on the importance of striving to be what you want to be, as well as just share my love of the book to my students.
